Vyoma graduated as an engineer in Textile Technology from Indore & moved to Mumbai to pursue her passion for Fashion. She met Sabyasachi Mukherjee while she was volunteering at Lakme Fashion Week & she sized the opportunity to work as an Assistant to him. She learnt the intricate art of garment manufacturing while still getting on-set experiences & a chance to work with many celebrities in the film & fashion industry. She soon started working as an independent Designer/Stylist & worked towards establishing her own clothing label. The creative in her wanted more & while she worked as a stylist, she got involved in the Television as a creative director. The nature of work, her enthusiasm and the passion to keep learning and changing constantly, brought her in touch with the labors, artisans and other people at the grassroots level. Her compassion towards them is what gave birth to Velkin Weaves in September 2019.
